Before using wastes as agronomic amendments to soil, it is essential to determine / evaluate the risk associated to metal release during waste weathering in agricultural soils. Thus, the objectives of the WP4 are
– to test the geochemical and mineralogical stability of the wastes (slag, fly ash) under controlled conditions
– to predict the potential risk of Ni (and other metals) release during weathering/ageing in soils
