The objectives of this last WP are to disseminate the results outside the consortium (scientific publications, conferences towards general public and private and public stake-holders such as mining companies or sugar cane producers, international conference, …) and to train young researchers (PhD) and master students during a summer school organized by the consortium.

A workshop entitled “Environmental impacts of mining and smelting” was organized at Orsay, the January 8-9th 2015 (www.minmetpoll.u-psud.fr). It was jointly organized by the NIDYFICS partners (University Paris Sud, IPGP, Charles University in Prague and Brasilia University) together with the SOLEIL synchrotron. Keynote lectures have been given by Nadine Piatak (USGS), Guillaume Morin (IPGP, Paris), Jeroen Sonke (Geosciences, Toulouse) and Luiz de Andrade Lima (Bahia, Brasil). Sixty-five persons attended this two-day workshop, coming from Europe (France, Slovakia, Poland, Czech Republic) and Brazil, among them 1/3 of PhD or master students.
Selected papers have been published in a special issue of the Applied Geochemistry special issue on Environmental impacts of mining and smelting (64, 2016).
